Timber Frame

It feels as if England is still in the depths of winter, with the “Beast from the East” raging, bringing heavy snow showers and sub-zero temperatures to the country. But officially, according to the meteorological calendar, we are now into Spring. The weather can only get better, surely?

The clients of this build certainly hope so. The plot’s exposed position on the Sussex South Downs has caused very challenging conditions on site. The handmade clay tiles are ready to go on to the roof, which will give the new home a traditional, weathered look when complete, but the roofers have been unable to get started due to the wind and snow. Nonetheless, progress continues. Insulation is currently being installed inside, which the clients are very much looking forward to enjoying next winter!
