JPS Contractors

JPS Contractors are experienced local groundworkers.

The purpose of foundations is to safely distribute the weight of a building to ensure structural integrity. The building’s structural load along with site factors such as soil conditions, trees, adjacent properties, and drainage all need to be considered when calculating the design of foundations.

Standard shallow foundations are used where the structure’s load is low relative to the bearing capacity of the soil. This is what was most suitable for our new show home, chalet bungalow The Mulberry.

JPS Contractors

JPS Contractors brought in their digger and dumper to remove all the topsoil for the footprint of the new home and levelled out the ground to prepare the site for the foundation excavation. Trenches were then dug by the firm for all exterior walls, as well as any load-bearing internal walls, ready for the concrete to be poured. The company also prepared the ground for the wine cellar installation, which is a real feature of the finished home.
