Show Home Build: 17 – External Works: Cladding and Landscaping

The brickwork finishing the exterior of our show home is complemented by timber style cladding. The grey-toned boarding adds interest to the façade on the front and side elevation.

Composite Cladding

The wood-look cladding has been supplied by Millboard, leading composite board manufacturers, from their ‘Envello Shadowline’ range in Smoked Oak.

Grey Cladding

The company is family-run and has been combining British craftsmanship with the beauty of nature since 1976. The external cladding is hand-moulded from pieces of oak, replicating the look of natural timber with an authentic wood grain appearance. Unlike real timber, however, the boards are resistant to rotting, scratches, staining, warping and splitting. They have been designed to withstand demanding outdoor environments, keeping the quality finish with minimal maintenance.

Landscaping

Landscaping began with the retaining walls being built. The same Vandersanden bricks were used for a cohesive look. The earth surrounding the new building was compacted to create a level surface for the laying of the patio. The matt finish porcelain paving tiles were selected from Tile Flair for their contemporary and elegant colour patterns.

Porcelain Patio Tiles

The gardens will be a mix of lawn areas with shrub borders. Existing as well as newly planted trees will contribute to the aesthetically pleasing outlook that will be framed by the chalet bungalow’s abundance of glazing. External lights will illuminate the walkways and box hedging is to be established to give a smart impression to the entrance of the property.
