Lingfield U10s (who Scandia-Hus are delighted to sponsor) recently won at the Steyning summer football tournament for the first time. Lingfield entered 2 teams, which were competing in different pools in the group stages.

Both made it through some very competitive matches to the 1/4 finals, with the second team only beaten after extra time and penalties, putting up a fantastic effort led by Max Wiseman.

Lingfield’s first team (pictured) also faced extra-time and penalties – this time in the semi-finals, but two excellent saves from Michael Ericsson saw the team into the final.

In the final the team won 1-0, scoring early and hanging on to claim a much-deserved victory.

Team captain Jake Blashford collected the winners shield, and all players received winners’ trophies as Lingfield enjoyed success at the tournament at U10 level for the first time.
