Another month, another Scandia-Hus home on the front cover of popular self build magazine Build It!

The UK’s first self build and renovation advice magazine ‘Build It’ featured a Scandia-Hus home on the front of both their November and December 2018 issues. This is the first time the publication has had the same company on their front cover two months running.

The publication is an essential resource for anyone planning to build a bespoke home, it includes inspiration, advice and expert guidance to help make your self build project a success.

The December 2018 issue of Build It highlights the story of Amber and Lee Wilmot who built their dream home on a West Sussex garden plot.

Having bought the land without permission for a new home in place, the couple tentatively began discussions about constructing a house with the local council.

“We worked closely with project manager Aron Turney at Scandia, who came along to all the pre-planning meetings…He was really hands-on…talking to the council all the time trying to work out what their requirements were for the project.”

In September 2015 the couple gained consent for their four-bedroom self build home. Impressed by Aron’s skills and work ethic, they decided to commission Scandia-Hus for the timber frame. “He knew we were a bit in the dark and went above and beyond,” says Amber.
