After their home was destroyed by fire, this couple built an energy-efficient replacement on the site of the former property.
Having lived in the idyllic coastal village of Middleton-on-Sea in Sussex for nearly a quarter of a century, when tragedy struck, and their thatched cottage was destroyed by fire, Len and Yvonne were understandably reluctant to leave.
Knowing that it would be incredibly difficult to find a better location, they made the decision to stay and rebuild their home.
Their new home sits on the generous plot of their former cottage, with mature hedges and trees providing a picturesque backdrop.
The contemporary home, inspired by our ‘Cranbrook’ design, features an attractive mixed exterior finish of white render, weatherboarding and grey bricks.
