The timber frame panels for the Ashurst project arrived on site from our factory in West Sussex, where each component was precision-manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Prior to delivery, the sole plate was fitted to enable the connection of the concrete foundations to the timber frame superstructure. Scaffolding was then erected around the perimeter of the site to allow the installation team to work safely and efficiently.

Our factory uses PEFC-certified, sustainably sourced timber, making it an ecologically responsible building material with a low environmental impact. Timber frame construction also creates airtight structures which, when combined with high-performance insulation and triple glazing, delivers homes with incredible thermal efficiency.

Once offloaded from the factory lorry, the prefabricated panels were quickly lifted into position and secured to the sole plate. The team ensured the frame was perfectly level and accurately aligned with the footprint of the foundations.

One of the key advantages of timber frame construction is the speed of assembly. For self-builders who opt for this method, it can be a rewarding moment to see their home begin to take shape in such a short space of time.

Another important benefit is that structural shells can be erected even in wet conditions, thereby reducing the risk of unexpected delays and additional costs associated with adverse weather conditions on site.
