Building a Scandia-Hus timber-frame home gives you an opportunity both to be individual and to construct a truly high-quality, energy-efficient home.

We will undertake all planning negotiations on your behalf. We will provide structural calculations and submit building regulations as well as SAP ratings applications in
respect of your new timber-frame house.

There are today almost 3,000 Scandia-Hus timber frame houses throughout the UK,
and we have been helping people build their own kit homes for nearly 40 years.

The manufacture and construction of our timber-frame house kits are based on the firm principles of high-tech Swedish technology and quality Scandinavian materials.

Windows fitted with triple-glazed, argon gas-filled, low E sealed units, near-Arctic levels
of insulation and air-tight construction mean heating costs are often halved and living standards greatly enhanced, providing exceptionally high-quality, energy-efficient homes.

By manufacturing our timber frame house kits in our own factory, we are able to control
and maintain product quality and provide complete flexibility of design and specification.

More of the construction work is undertaken in the factory under controlled conditions, leaving less to be done on site. Not only does this make the build process quicker, but it also ensures a greater degree of accuracy.

of whom build virtually exclusively for Scandia-Hus’ customers. In each case we help organise a comprehensive tender process to secure competitive quotations for the build,
and in new areas we assist with the process of selecting new builders.

Our staff are qualified and trained for their work, whether this be manufacturing a wall
panel, designing a complicated roof or negotiating with local planners. They are also
always available for after-sales customer service and advice.
