The Uppland - Ideal Family Home

The largest single storey design in our standard range, the Uppland is an ideal family home, offering four spacious bedrooms, three bathrooms and a separate study or fifth bedroom. The bedroom wing, with its own family room, is conveniently separated from the main reception rooms. The variation in levels of the opposite wing gives the sitting room an interesting stepped feature, and the increased ceiling height and large sliding patio doors lend the room an exceptionally light and airy feel. 

Two steps higher, through three graceful arches, the dining room is perfectly sited for stylish entertaining and overlooks the sheltered rear courtyard, which can eaily be converted into a conservatory by the addition of a vaulted glazed roof.

The total cost of the project (including building set, shell erection and construction) will depend on site conditions as well as on your final specification and your chosen method of construction, i.e. self-build, project management, use of a nominated main contractor or a combination of these methods.  For further details please see our Fact Sheets.

To assist you in assessing the overall cost of the project, a ‘rule of thumb’ guide, based on the various procurement routes mentioned above, would be :-

These estimated square foot prices are inclusive of building set, shell erection, window fit and construction costs. The price includes delivery to mainland site. The building set includes the timber frame with a fully boarded roof, insulation, 15mm plasterboard, plasterboard screws, Swedish triple glazed windows and external doors. Also included are Swedish internal doors, skirting boards, coving, architrave, insulated loft hatch and ladder, open or closed treat staircase and mechanical ventilation system. The estimate assumes standard foundation requirements and a good, above average specification of finishing materials.
