The Millstone - As If Made By Ancient Craftsmen

It is hard to believe that this house could possibly be a new build. The roof looks as though it has been in place for decades, the bricks as if they were handmade by ancient craftsmen and even the path leading up to the front door appears to have been made in a previous century. Which, of course, it was, because this is a house where reclaimed materials have been combined with the best in new building technology to produce a ‘period’ farmhouse that looks as much a part of the landscape as the stream that runs alongside it and the rolling fields beyond.

The ground floor layout incorporates a large dining hall linked via a semi-circular turret to the large sitting room, featuring two pairs of double French doors leading out onto the patio. A couple of steps take you up into the TV/snug, which shares a double-backed fire place with the sitting room.

A large kitchen family/dining room with separate utility room as well as a study or fifth bedroom complete the ground floor accommodation, and a grand staircase leads to the first floor, which incorporates two double bedrooms – both with en suite facilities - and two single bedrooms.
