The Chamonix - Spacious Modern Living
This alpine-looking chalet has been named after the French ski resort, Chamonix. The design meets most of the criteria for a contemporary home, including vast areas of glass, steep rooflines with vaulted ceilings, a sweeping staircase and gable head balconies.
The open-plan ground floor living areas include a large kitchen and family room, a double height dining area, flooded with light from a bank of roof lights above, and a generous sitting room featuring large patio doors as well as space for a modern woodburning stove.
The first floor features the master bedroom, with en suite facilities, as well as two additional double bedrooms and a second bathroom. All three bedrooms have access onto the attractive, glazed gable head balconies.
The ground floor also incorporates a study and a utility room and, as can be seen from the plans, the roofline at the side of the utility room has been extended to provide a useful, covered parking space.
