Over the years Scandia-Hus has become renowned for its Scandinavian 'A-Frame' chalet designs, featuring steep roofs, dormer windows and gable-end balconies. One could almost say that this style of home has become our trademark.

The principle of chalet design — building within the roof space — is both practical and thoroughly efficient, providing a warm envelope following the natural contours of the house.

Although we design and build a wide range of kit houses, the Scandinavian A-Frame kit houses still remain one of the front runners of our range.

The chalets shown in this section of our website include traditional Scandinavian chalets as well as more conventional British chalet designs. As you study each one, please remember that our full in-house architectural service is available to you, should you wish to adapt a design to suit your personal needs or add your own special touches, making your home unique.
