The
Ziggurat
| |||||||
|
The name of this house describes “a temple in the style of a pyramidal tower”, a design used in ancient Mesopotamia. “Ancient” or “modern”, the Ziggurat’s angular roof lines definitely strike a contemporary chord in this day and age. The design includes many of the features one would expect in a modern home – vast areas of glass and angular roofs, vaulted ceilings and spacious open-plan accommodation. The Ziggurat incorporates a vast sitting room with a central, feature-fireplace as well as five bedrooms, a study and a large inner hall which can be used for instance as a dining hall, a library, a billiard room or for any other purpose to suit its occupants.
