Scandia-Hus self-build 'A-Frame' chalet designs

Over the years Scandia-Hus has become renowned for its Scandinavian 'A-Frame' chalet designs, featuring steep roofs, dormer windows and gable-end balconies. One could almost say that this style of home has become our trademark.

The principle of chalet design — building within the roof space — is both practical and thoroughly efficient, providing a warm envelope following the natural contours of the house.

Although we design and build a wide range of kit houses — from retirement bungalows to chalets; from traditional English cottages and country homes to barn "conversions"; from New England to contemporary, glass-fronted designs and anything in between — Scandinavian A-Frame kit houses still remain one of the front runners of our range.
