Sustainable Home-Building for the Future

Scandia-Hus has been using a well-proven Swedish timber framing system for nearly 40 years. Our specification is regularly reviewed in light of technical and regulatory advances thereby providing a modern method of construction with a high sustainability rating.  Our building methods are in balance with nature. Constructed from Scandinavian PEFC sourced timber, harvested under a forestry management policy of long-term renewal where each tree felled is replaced by two healthy saplings, our homes are truly sustainable.

By using virtually CFC-free insulation boards and natural Rockwool to walls and roofs as well as timber windows fitted with tripleglazed, Argon gas filled, sealed glazing units, Scandia-Hus achieves exceptional insulation values while reducing harmful pollution effects on occupants and environment.
