The principle of chalet design - building within the roof space - is both practical and thoroughly efficient, providing a warm envelope following the natural contours of the house.
Over the years Scandia-Hus have become renowned for our Scandinavian chalet designs, featuring steep roofs, dormer windows and timbered gable-end balconies. One could almost say that this style of chalet home has become our trademark. However, our designs include traditional Scandinavian chalets as well as more conventional British chalet designs, some customers preferring the timbered, Scandinavian look with others electing to ‘Anglicise’ their chalet homes.
