Chalet designs

Over the years we have become renowned for our Scandinavian chalet designs, featuring steep roofs, dormer windows and gable-end balconies. One could almost say that this style of chalet home has become our trademark.

This has been a great strength for Scandia-Hus, but it is all too easy to become ‘type-cast’, and therefore we have lately also concentrated on promoting our range of more traditional looking designs – from ‘olde-worlde’ to high tech, from Victorian to Georgian, and anything in between.

In so doing, we have found that some customers feel we have strayed too far from our Scandinavian origins. However, as you will see when browsing through this section of our site, this is far from true. The Scandinavian chalets still remain the front runners of our range; some customers preferring the timbered, Scandinavian look with others electing to ‘Anglicise’ their chalets.
