Two- and three-storey designs |

Traditional British architecture often incorporates full two-storey accommodation. This probably has as much to do with site restrictions as it does with our preference for the classic division between sleeping and reception areas, which is one of the oldest and most conventional of British house design concepts. A full two-storey house takes up less space on the site and, as opposed to a chalet design, provides more ‘full height’ space upstairs for those who dislike low or sloping ceilings. Whether or not you prefer classically styled, imposing, all brick or stone facades or a more subtle blend incorporating a tile-hung or timbered first floor, the choice is yours. There are no limitations on design or finish with Scandia-Hus. To view some of the two-storey Scandia-Hus homes built throughout the UK, click on the home or homes on the right that appeal to you. The first example also has floor plans and other photographs. |
